Canoeing holidays in Germany
Fleesensee/Mecklenburg Lake District
The Mecklenburg Lake District with around 2000 lakes is an extensive network of waterways that ultimately connects up to Hamburg and Berlin. Paddling the waterways you get very close to nature an aquatic paradise. The calm and compact expanses of water, often with a gentle current, are highly suitable for novices and families. On many of the waterways canoes can be paddled in both directions by canoe.
Our 4.5* Iberotel Fleesensee directly on Fleesensee is the ideal starting point for fascinating half-day and full-day canoe tours through unspoilt nature where you will come across rare plants and animals. The Fleesensee Water Sports Centre (about 600 m from the Iberotel hotel) rents out canoes and kayaks and also offers guided canoe tours, for both novices and the experienced.
Even as a stopover on a longer canoe tour of the lakes and rivers of the Mecklenburg Lake District, the Iberotel Fleesensee offers canoe travellers a multitude of possibilities. Partake of some sustenance in one of the restaurants, relax in the Iberotel Spa, and spend the night in one of the comfortable rooms with a lake view before continuing on the next stage of your canoe tour.
