Breath in and feel the Ottoman charm of the old town as it sits majestically above the bay of Antalya. Not far from the city several waterfalls cascade spectacularly over a steep rock face down to the sea. The landmark of the coastal metropolis is the Yivli Minare, the "Fluted Minaret Mosque". Important archeological sites in the neighbourhood are the ruins of Perge and Aspendos. They were among the richest and most influential cities of Greek and Roman antiquity.
In the small town of Side, on the other hand, there is a unique blend of antiquity and the modern. Visit the picturesque old town with its impressive ruins from Classical Antiquity and the Byzantine era, or stroll along the lively main street with its carpet, jewellery and leather shops. A wonderfully varied time awaits you on your holiday on the Turkish Riviera.
Manavgat
Get into the spirit and magic of Manavgat! The town is about 15 km west of Side. Discover the many small shops and the bazaar, melt into the Turkish hospitality and marvel at the mosque. Enjoy a local speciality: trout from the Manavgat River!
If you need a little quiet and relaxation after visiting the lively town centre, try a boat trip to the waterfalls to the north of Manavgat. There you’ll find a truly impressive display of nature. And if its excitement you want visit the Adventure Park Manavgat - Oymapinar where adrenaline levels rise in the climbing park and where the young and old can show off their scaling skills. Afterwards, take in the fabulous view over the reservoir where you can wind down after an exciting day on holiday.
